Shaftesbury FC

Shaftesbury Town Football Club, founded in 1888, has built a compelling history of achievement within the English football landscape. Their early successes include winning the Dorset Junior League in 1905–06 and the Dorset Senior League in 1931–32. Following World War II, the club made its FA Cup debut, marking a significant step forward. Shaftesbury Town was also a proud founder member of the Dorset Football Combination League in 1957–58, demonstrating their commitment to regional football development. Their ambition was further highlighted by their debut in the FA Vase the following season. Most recently, the 2023–24 season marked a monumental achievement as Shaftesbury Town secured promotion from the Wessex Premier Division, triumphing over AFC Stoneham with a decisive 1–0 victory in the play-off final.
