About

About Falmouth Town AFC.

Falmouth Town Football Club, established in 1949, quickly made its mark, becoming a founder member of the South Western League in 1951. Their first trophy arrived in 1957–58 with a League Cup victory, followed by a strong league runners-up finish and a retained League Cup title the next season. The 1961–62 season was truly exceptional, as they won the league for the first time, along with the League Cup and the Cornwall Senior Cup in a dominant fashion. The following season, they achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Cornish club to reach the FA Cup first round, captivating a record crowd of 8,000. Their success continued with another league title in 1965–66.

Falmouth's golden era saw them reach the FA Cup first round again in 1967–68, a season in which they also secured their third South Western League title. Their dominance was undeniable with four consecutive South Western League titles between 1970–71 and 1973–74, an extraordinary period that included an unbeaten run across three competitions in 1970–71 and losing only five league matches over three seasons. Their move to the Western League in 1974 brought immediate success, as they achieved a league and League Cup double in their first season without a single loss. This remarkable streak extended to eight consecutive league titles, including an incredible 58-match unbeaten run in the Western League. After rejoining the South Western League, they won back-to-back titles in 1985–86 and 1986–87, and again in 1988–89 and 1989–90, adding further titles in 1991–92, 1996–97, and 1999–2000. In 2017–18, they won the League Cup, and the subsequent season saw them claim the league's Charity Bowl. The 2021–22 season was another highlight, bringing both the Cornwall Senior Cup and the Premier Division West championship, leading to their return to the Western League Premier Division. In 2023–24, they continued their winning ways with another Cornwall Senior Cup victory and secured promotion to Division One South of the Southern League for the first time in their history after a successful play-off campaign.
